Samual James 'Karbon' // Released 7th March 2014 on OneLove
Fresh from the release of 'Feel You’, Sebjak is back again with another new single for dance music titan Ultra Records. This time he is collaborating with one of electronic music's finest and most long-standing producers, David Tort, on the high octane 'Raveline'.
Built around the catalysing acid riff at the track's core, the aptly-titled 'Raveline' is a flurry of muscular drums and layered progressions that is crafted perfectly for peak time dance floors. Opening out into a big melodic breakdown before diving back into the fray, the restless energy of 'Raveline' is inescapable.
Sebjak has quickly marked himself out as one of the most exciting talents to come out of Sweden's rich lineage in electronic music. Rising to fame with his collaborations ‘Liceu’ and ‘Kemi’ with Marcus Schossow, as well as his massive release ‘Feel You’, Sebjak has had a series of releases with a strong selection of leading dance labels such as Size records, Mixmash and Positiva.
You know it's always something special when Stefano drops a bomb on his own imprint, and as usual, the limits are pushed and the stakes are high.
"Body French" rocks and rolls with subtle tribal tendencies that make way for intricate drum edits and sharp cymbals, while the low end is taken care of via rubber-band sub bass. Moving on, a pitched-down vocal and dubby effects help blur the line between Tech genres even further.
On "Stop This Na" the editing gets kicked up a notch and we are offered sporadic outbursts of live hi-hats combined with busy snare action. A cavernous vibe permeates the air, and quirky percussion adds extra suspense as the liquid bassline bubbles underneath the surface.
