Legendary Pete Tong hits the decks yet again to kickstart off a brand new weekend on BBC Radio 1 with his influential Essential Selection. Opening up with the recently released Save The Worl from Swedish House Mafia, the weekend could barely have gotten a better start. Continuing with Calvin Harris’ new single alongside world renowned singer Kelis and Afrojack’s brilliant remix of The Wombats, yesterday’s show was yet another smash from the acclaimed Mr. Tong. A brand new remix of Deadmau5′ Raise Your Weapon from none other than hugely talented 16 year old Madeon was premiered, Dan Castro’s remix of Wynter Gordon got itself an additional spin on the show and last but not least – Eric Prydz already established remix of Personal Jesus gets to walk the halls of BBC Radio 1 for the first time. Yasmin talks us through her ultimate 24 hours and Stephan Bodzin joins in for a 15 minutes of fame.
